How dangerous is your safety gear?

The photos below have graphic content. They are of Kyle Jones' injury after being impaled by his climbing knife during a whipper. It was approximately 2" deep and did not puncture his lungs or cause tension pneumothorax. The episode is more of a public safety announcement than anything and to hopefully help people analyze whatever knife they might carry on their harness. We won't be carrying these knives in our store but they may or may not be recalled so it's good to get this information out there for anyone who may have and use them.
